DRIFTWORLD
DRIFTWORLD is a 2D real time strategy game about patience, conquest, and control.
Gather your units and outmaneuver the enemy, claiming their bases for your own. But beware, control can be a finicky thing. Will you persevere and charge ahead to complete your conquest? And, in the end... will it have been worth it?
Controls:
- Left-click to select units
- Right-click to move them
- Scroll wheel to zoom
- WASD to pan the camera, or move the mouse to the edge of the screen
- C to cancel a move (while selected)
- R to reset the level
- Esc to exit
Note, the performance seems to be a bit better on the desktop versions instead of the web, so consider downloading a binary.
Made solo for the GMTK Game Jam 2020, which had the theme "out of control".

Game was short and not too tough but fun. Not sure exactly how it relates to the theme of the jam though.
The idea was that, under certain circumstances, you'd lose control of your units, and they'd turn against you. Part of the goal of the game is to learn exactly what those criteria are, but I know that wasn't always as clear as it could've been. Thanks for playing! :)
I didn't see much/any of that happen. Some of my units turned purple but I just thought that was because they were damaged. I didn't notice them turn against me and if they did then they weren't very impactful. I feel kind of silly having missed the point of the game. Thanks for the reply.
